Hockey is one of the fastest, most highly skilled and tactical games there is to play. It has always been known as the family game. Men's hockey started in Liverpool in 1834 at the West Derby Club. 

Women's Hockey started in Liverpool in 1894 and Liverpool Ladies was established. Liverpool has produced many teams and players who have gone on to great things like Olympian Caroline Reid (GB Goalkeeper).
