Volleyball in Liverpool is played more in clubs than in schools, it is played indoors in England with teams of 3, 4 or 6 players, dependent upon the age group.

The Merseyside Volleyball League & the Liverpool Schools Volleyball Association are especially interested in running short courses in Primary Schools for years 5 & 6. They also stage a national Junior Volleyball Festival in June at Pontin's (Southport) which attracts over 100 teams, ranging from Under 11's to Under 15's.
